Chris Pitchford, CEO of Real Response Media was thrilled to join Holland America Line’s new flagship Rotterdam for her naming ceremony in the city whose name the ship bears.
The current Rotterdam is the seventh ship to bear the famous name for the cruise line and third ship in the Pinnacle Class of ships. Carrying 2,668 guests and boasting areas such as the Rolling Stone Rock Room, Lincoln Centre Stage and Billboard Onboard alongside her sisters she’s the newest ship in the Holland America Line fleet and will now operate out of Amsterdam as her home port.
Rotterdam was officially named by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of The Netherlands. The Dutch royal family have launched eleven Holland America Line vessels over the years and this is the latest of four ships named by Princess Margriet.
Chris Pitchford said “It was an honour to be invited to the naming ceremony of Rotterdam. She’s an important vessel for Holland America Line and signifies that the cruise industry is very much back on its feet. Long may Rotterdam sail with many happy guests onboard.”
